How much money do you save when you quit smoking?

Health is the real reason for most quits. Money is the reason you can see on a bad Tuesday. If you know your pack price, cigarettes per day, and pack size, the math is simple — and watching it grow makes the next 90 seconds feel less abstract.

The simple savings math

Daily cost is (cigarettes per day ÷ cigarettes per pack) × pack price. Multiply by 7 for a week, 30 for a month, 365 for a year. A pack-a-day habit at a high pack price is thousands a year. Even a few cigarettes a day add up because the quit lasts.

Hold90 does this from the numbers you enter on setup. It counts cigarettes not smoked from your quit date and shows money saved. You can point that total at a wishlist item — headphones, a trip, rent — so the savings have a face.

Why a wishlist beats a round number

“I saved $40” is easy to spend in your head. “I am 60% of the way to the thing I named” is harder to smoke through. The wishlist in Hold90 is not a shop. It is a progress bar attached to not lighting up.

Slips and the money clock

If you smoke one, the honest move is still not to throw away the quit date. Hold90 keeps the savings tied to that date and the original rhythm you set. A slip is a trigger to log, not a reason to pretend the previous days did not count.

Questions

Does Hold90 connect to my bank?
No. Savings are estimated from the smoking numbers you enter and stored on this device. Nothing is pulled from an account.
What if pack prices change?
Update price per pack in settings. The point is a living estimate you can believe, not a tax filing.
